Beaded Cuff

I started embroidering when I was 9 years old when we moved to Guam U.S.A in 1978. My first project was in fourth grade when I attended Yigo elementary school. My Mom and I started to practice embroidering on her pillow cases, which turn out beautiful!

They were teaching this beaded embroidery cuff bracelet at The Bead Place. I new I had to take it! I did - I loved it! =)

I started this beaded embroidery cuff bracelet about 5 months ago. Over a month ago I started to finish this bracelet, and within 2-weeks, I got this much finished. All I have left to do is fill the edging and I will be done. This is what it looks like so far. I started a gray beaded embroidery cuff but it will be a while before I get to that.

I have not been on The Hive for a long time and I apologize if there are posts there. I have not responded to and I am sorry, Please forgive me. =)

Glory ~ Charm Watch

Glory ~ Charm Watch designed 7-11-2010

Soliras Jewelry Collection
Is an affordable alternative to the higher sterling silver jewelry I sell.

I will use "Bali Style" & "Tibetan Style" metal beads and or findings in these collection.

I have not made a watch charm bracelet in a long time. I didn't have enough sterling silver head pins, so I decided to make this with metal findings that are not sterling silver.

Under The Sea Collections - Siren's Call

Under The Sea Collection 2010

Siren's Call Necklace

I designed the necklace June 27th, 2010

I had the mother-of-pearl nautilus pendant for many years. I had the pendant along with the pearls, pineapple quartz briolettes, pineapple quartz round faceted beads, sterling silver Bali beads, Thia sterlings silver beads all in a zip lock bag. All I needed was a couple more beads to enhance this necklace.

One day at work (The Bead Place, Fairview Heights, IL), I noticed Abbi hanging some beautiful beads up. BAM!! There was the "WOW" factor I wanted in my piece. I waited until after work to purchase the web agate. I brought them home and this is what I came up with...

The picture below does not do this necklace any justice...

I found sound wonderful yellow quartz and finished off the bracelet this evening July 3rd 2010...

Spot Lampwork Earrings

I made these pair of earrings last night (6-20-10).

I needed a break inbetween orders/repairs. I thought I would make something to sell on Etsy. I incorporated sterling silver Bali beads and Thia sterling silver beads into the mix. A hint of sparkle, I added Jet Swarovski crystals.

The lampwork beads were made by me 2007/2008. I used moretti glass - base bead is white, then I melted the black dots onto the white round glass bead. I encased it in a light topaz glass. My beads are kiln and annealed for duriability. The bead holes are thoroughly cleaned of bead release. I use a diamond bit drill to clean the holes out. I use 2.5mm ,1/16 or 3/32" mandrels (hole size)

The spots on the earings is a reflection of the flash.

Spring Charm

Inbetween orders I love to take a break and brush up on my jewelry making while having fun, and incorporating little wire wrapping that you can't see because of the charms.

This use to be a watch-charm bracelet that I converted into a charm bracelet (I had bought this from a friend/artist some years back). The watch face broke, along with part of the bump from the lampwork bead - lost some charms. I salvaged what charms I could to convert it into this bracelet. The lampwork beads were made by an Ebay seller at the time.

I rummaged through some Bali sterling silver beads to add a focal piece, and re-attached some charms onto the bracelet to make it look like it once did the best I could. This is what I came up with.

Voila!!!
