Spot Lampwork Earrings

I made these pair of earrings last night (6-20-10).

I needed a break inbetween orders/repairs. I thought I would make something to sell on Etsy. I incorporated sterling silver Bali beads and Thia sterling silver beads into the mix. A hint of sparkle, I added Jet Swarovski crystals.

The lampwork beads were made by me 2007/2008. I used moretti glass - base bead is white, then I melted the black dots onto the white round glass bead. I encased it in a light topaz glass. My beads are kiln and annealed for duriability. The bead holes are thoroughly cleaned of bead release. I use a diamond bit drill to clean the holes out. I use 2.5mm ,1/16 or 3/32" mandrels (hole size)

The spots on the earings is a reflection of the flash.

Spring Charm

Inbetween orders I love to take a break and brush up on my jewelry making while having fun, and incorporating little wire wrapping that you can't see because of the charms.

This use to be a watch-charm bracelet that I converted into a charm bracelet (I had bought this from a friend/artist some years back). The watch face broke, along with part of the bump from the lampwork bead - lost some charms. I salvaged what charms I could to convert it into this bracelet. The lampwork beads were made by an Ebay seller at the time.

I rummaged through some Bali sterling silver beads to add a focal piece, and re-attached some charms onto the bracelet to make it look like it once did the best I could. This is what I came up with.

Voila!!!

Midnight Melody Bracelet

Hello Everyone! I know it has been some time since I have posted anything. Let me catch you up on a few things that have been going on so you know why.

I have taken a job at a wonderful retail store called, The Bead Place. I work with a group of wonderful women! I have slowed down selling on Ebay, since I have been working full time, but have request orders from my regulars. Once I have my ducks in a row, I will be back on ebay full swing.

I wanted to share what I made for my, "Other Mother" (my mother-in-law). I made this bracelet for her birthday. I call it the, "Midnight Melody". She saw some beautiful Swarovski crystals in the colors of Griege and Metallic Gold AB X2.

The materials I used:
6mm & 4mm Griege and the 6mm & 4mm Metallic Gold AB X2.
Brownish bugle beads and size 11 silver seed beads

Here is a bracelet that I thought to auction off on eBay which did sell. There are a lot of my designs that I do not bring to eBay, most people don't want to pay for pieces that they feel are not worth the designers effort or time. However, with the New Year, I just may bring a few to auction.

Designing Jewelry

Hello There!
Designing a piece can be time consuming, there are times you have all these beads layed out before you, your mind is racing with all the colors and designs. I start designing three different pieces and then it becomes one, because I may like the way one looks over the other then I incorporate them together and get a master piece. You think an hour has passed by, then realize that it is 3 hours later. Most of the time, I make my pieces to match the wearer of the bracelet, to fit their personality. Some times it is sheer luck or trial and error.

I know there are a lot of people in this world that have the same similarities in designs. But when you know you came up with a design and sat there for hours, and someone comes along and copies, and takes it as their own designs, is hard. But, there are times when you do run across someone that thinks you right out took there designs, and they accuse you before you explain how you came up with your piece that is hard to swollow as well.

I look back at generations how centuries of art has come this far and how many people get inspiration from a piece. If you are inspired by a piece I made, I am happy to have helped bring out your creative side. If you can inspire others with my piece I made then I am happy.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email.

Artisan Jewelry

Hello and welcome!

I have a creative mind and when it starts it just keeps going. I like to design pieces of art that everyone will enjoy at affordable prices. If you will bear with me, I have had some computer problems and hard drive crashes, that my web site has been delayed for quiet some time.

I have my items on eBay and trying to acquire business there, but the fees are a bit high, for those who were on eBay know what I am talking about.

I try to list daily if not weekly so be sure to check out my eBay store and auctions! Along with making jewelry, I also work as a nail tech. We purchased our home and closed on it August 8th. We are putting a new sub-floor in the front room so, with that I do try to continue to keep busy with my Jewelry Designs.

As soon as the front room is done, we will be cleaning our garage for our small lampwork studio. You will be seeing Artisan Jewelry along with our own designs of Lampwork beads!
